BECKLEY RED BRICK PIZZA OVEN
Traditional Handmade Bricks Meet Contemporary Design
Sussex Handmade Brick was pleased to support a creative project for the London Design Festival, supplying Beckley Red handmade bricks for the construction of a distinctive pizza oven.
Bringing together traditional British brickmaking and contemporary design, the project demonstrated how handmade bricks can be used beyond conventional building applications to create something both practical and visually distinctive.
With a tight project schedule, the design team approached Sussex Handmade Brick for support in sourcing bricks that would complement their creative vision. Our Beckley Red bricks were selected for their natural colour, texture and authentic handmade character, bringing warmth and individuality to the finished design.
By contributing materials to the project, Sussex Handmade Brick helped bring the concept to life, supporting an imaginative use of traditional building materials.
The finished pizza oven highlights the versatility of handmade bricks and how materials crafted using time-honoured British techniques can continue to inspire contemporary design.
